We offer a wide range of courses, both shore based and on the water, to an RYA syllabus, or tailored to individual requirements.
We teach the full range of RYA Powerboat Courses from the entry point RYA Powerboat Level 1 and RYA Powerboat Level 2, up to RYA Powerboat Advanced.
We also teach the full RYA Motor Cruising syllabus from RYA Helmsman to preparation courses for the RYA Motor Cruising Yachtmaster Offshore exam. We have a comfortable shore-side classroom from where we teach most of our theory courses including VHF radio, radar, first aid, and the RYA navigation courses.
We also teach on a bespoke basis, on our own and clients’ boats, and this can be syllabus based, or can involve almost any scenario from time spent helping you to learn how to handle and understand your new purchase, to passage-making, or high-speed navigation.
We are often asked for tuition by family members or spouses in order that they can be more involved on board or able to take a boat out on their own. We are also regularly asked how to deal with rougher conditions when people get caught out by a misread or inaccurate forecast, and for advice and assistance before longer trips to unfamiliar harbours, or it could just be a request for something as simple as a two-hour boat-handling clinic on a specific issue causing difficulties.
