We have trained clients on a wide range of their own boats, from small ribs and bowrider speedboats, to large twin engine motor cruisers. In addition to teaching, all our Instructors are commercially qualified to skipper large yachts up to 24 metres or 200 tonnes and we can offer all the RYA Powerboat and RYA Motor Cruising courses on your own boat for you, your family and friends.
In addition to RYA training we also offer individually tailored training – maybe you have a particular issue getting on or off a difficult berth, or are worried about how you would recover someone if they went overboard. Perhaps you have family or friends who would like to become more involved in the running or handling of your boat, or maybe you have just bought a new boat and would like to start learning how to use, enjoy, and get the most out of her. Whatever your training requirements we can help you become more accomplished, which in turn leads to more enjoyment when you are on the water.
Areas we can help with include use of trim tabs and engine trim, difficult berths (forward & backwards), berthing in strong winds, anchoring, towing, man over board scenarios, safety, single or twin engine handling, navigation and pilotage, understanding tides, weather, gps and electronic navigation, radar, other electronics, & much much more.
