Our Powerboat Fleet

We are unusual in that we run all our powerboat training using large RIBs. We use a fleet of commercially coded Ribcraft 7.8 metre RIBs with smooth, fuel efficient 225hp & 250hp outboards, all carrying the latest safety & navigational equipment. In addition to our own boats we also have exclusive access for training to the extensive Solent Rib Charter fleet of identical boats.  Many of these boats are also available to charter once you have done your training. Our boats are all fast and exhilarating but also very safe and stable teaching platforms, and are all fully coded by the MCA (the Coastguard) for commercial work, which is not a requirement for teaching but is an additional safety standard.

The Motor Cruiser we teach on is an immaculate Sealine F42/5, a 45 foot flybridge cruiser called Oceanique.   She is big & beautiful, with twin engines & twin props on shafts, and is great to learn big-boat handling on, as well as being extremely comfortable & well equipped. Needless to say she has the latest navigational equipment and is again fully MCA coded for commercial work and is fastidiously maintained.

Quite simply, we believe we have the best fleet of training boats in the UK.
